| Becuase of our efforts in iraq thousands of aspiring suicide bombers have been caught in the middle east. In the middle east we have set up organizations in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Afganistand and everythingbutthekitchensinkastan that have stopeed many suicide bombings that could havekilled thousands of american citizens each. ALso, teh shiites and sunnis are not terrorists, to set teh record straight. This is a war IN iraq not a war WITH iraq. We are trying to stop the Al Qaeida and other terrorists organizations from blowing the hell out of us until we can set up a stable enough democracy in Iraq to erradicate the terrorists from Iraq. Also, please stop comparing this to vietnam, only a little over 3000 soldiers have died so far, and they all chose to become soldiers, there was no draft. | |

| my official stance on war, some seem to be confused. i disagree with the war in iraq. Moreover, i feel that now is the worst time than ever to pull out due to the current situation between sunni's and shia's

| BUt no, this is nothing like vietnam Vietnam was a war against communism a protecting a country that cried fro help, which we said we would help countries if the asked fro it in teh Declaration of Independence. Iraq is a war against teh terrorists, who ahev already attacked us, not like vietna, where the commies invaded another country, not us. If anything, this war is more similar to our invasion at guantanamo bay, it is for our immediate protection and to help the country, not to kill a form of governmetn we dont agreee with. | |

| Subject: Vietnam, Iraq, theres a difference Fri 04 May 2007, 11:32 am | |
| Also Vietnam and Iraq have major differences. In the vietnam our citzens did not support our brave soldiers nor the war, for that reason. In Iraq, today, we support the troops but not so much the idea of going to war in the first place. | |

| THe problem with vietnam is teh soldiers did not choose to be soldiers like the current ones did, so there was no bravery in going to nam, you kinda had to | |

heres the thing there are differentences. but the reason they r the same is because our troops r being imployed in a manner for which they are not prepared. for example acting as a police force against unconventional enemy. also, since the american civil war the US army is an been offensive weapon whos abilties can be neutralized in unconventional war. this is y veitnam and iraq are similar, we have taken away our troops stregth and are forcing them to fight on the enemys terms. yeah there was a draft during vietnam but most were voulinteers. but the draft means nothing soldiers still shouldnt be put in this situation. we made up the reason fo this one and we made up a reason for that one.

| ok here is my view. we get the hell out. what are we fighting for or against? It's just killling more and more people every day. I think that we shold guide Iraq in setting up a democratic government system but at home in the U.S.
i probably sound really stupid to everyone else who knows more about the war but whatever

| Its annoying that you align your slelf with one political party and decide that the other parties are enemies. We're one country, not three ( or four) | |
